Bestaendigkeit

Mein Leben ist was ganz besonders.

So weit konnte niemand mich verstehen. So geht's weiter.

Prima...

Excluded from the roster

I have a lot of peeves. Now that basketball season is underway and college football is turning into bowl season, there are a lot of bandwagoners and overzealous fans coming out from beneath their rocks under which they have been hiding. And with those people come those who think they may use the word "we" when referring to their favorite team. I just want to point out that none of my friends are on the Ohio State football roster, so I don't want to see any of you saying "We are the best" or "We are really good." You aren't on the team, so you may not use "we." Same goes for my fellow Cavaliers fans. WE don't win anything. WE do not play on the court with the rest of the team. WE are not on the coaching staff. Just knock it off before you give me a tick.

In other news, I think I've officially become the hot teacher. It's disturbing, but I guess almost somewhat flattering that my students like my appearance. I think "gross" describes it best. Oh well.

It's snowing foreal for the first time this winter. I kinda like it, but naturally the idiot drivers are out in full force. They either drive 10 mph below or over the speed limit. Both ends of the spectrum bother me and I wish I didn't have to share the road with them. The snow is awfully nice, though. Pretty, that is.

I'm gonna go ahead and get started on dinner now. Mashed potatoes, stew and rolls. Mmm, now that's a winter evening's meal.

Tired

So, I found out on Friday that I'm going to be at Northview until the end of the semester in January, if not longer. That makes me rather happy and relieved. I was thinking that I was finished on Friday because no one had notified me of anything different, but the principal called me in the afternoon and informed me that I was to return on Monday. I'm excited, but I need to really motivate myself to do some lesson plans today.

I'm pretty pooped. The MAC Championship was Thursday night, worked all day Friday, then had to be at the book store at 7:00AM yesterday. And the icing on the cake? Jason is still here. His car totally broke down on Friday when he was driving back to the Z. Fortunately for him, he was in Findlay and very close to where Jon has his externship. So Jon brought him back to Toledo Friday evening and then yesterday we drove him down to Columbus to meet up with his mom and find a new car. After about five hours in a Hyundai dealership and dinner at Don Pablo's, he became the "proud" owner of a 2007 Hyundai Elentra. It's way too nice of a car for Jason to be driving. Not to say Hyundais are awesome cars, because I don't like them. But I can only picture Jason in the Mystique. Maybe the new car will encourage him to keep it clean and not drive drunk.

I have to work today from 1:00 to 5:00PM. Then it's two weeks and two days of school starting tomorrow before Christmas break. I think that's the first time I've called it "Christmas break" since before I was at OU. See, in Lorain there are little to no Jewish people, so no one ever bitched about anyone saying "Christmas break" or "Christmas season," but once I got to OU I had to call it "winter break." It's Christmastime, and I'm sticking to it.
